Fire protection maintenance software: due dates for extinguishers, hydrants and doors create the jobs, the customer signs on the phone
For companies that inspect and maintain fire safety equipment, with technicians on the road. Priced per company, not per user.
Do at least two of these sound familiar?
- Customers' six-monthly due dates live in an Excel sheet that one person updates.
- The technician fills in the tag on the extinguisher and then someone retypes it all in the office.
- A customer with thirty extinguishers, four hydrants and two fire doors is a folder, not a record.
- When an inspection arrives, a customer's log is rebuilt from different papers.
- Material used on the round (refills, seals, signs) does not all reach the invoice.
What does a missed round or an incomplete log cost?
- A six-monthly check not invoiced because the report stayed in the van: with a hundred customers, two a month are enough to lose thousands of euros a year (example, to redo with your figures).
- A well-written work report takes, estimated from the demos, 12-15 minutes; dictated by voice, three.
- In Italy, the Ministerial Decree of 1 September 2021 requires periodic checks by qualified technicians, recorded in a log; for extinguishers, standard UNI 9994-1 sets a check every six months. A check that was done but has no signed record counts, when an inspector arrives, as a check that was not done.
What if inspection due dates created the jobs on their own?
Every customer has its sites and every piece of equipment its record: type, location, last check, next due date, contract. At the end of the month iTER7 prepares the list of checks due and puts them in the calendar, assigned to technicians and grouped by area.
The technician opens the day's round on the phone. For each item they record the outcome, dictate notes, photograph tag and pressure gauge, and tick off the material used from the van. The customer signs with a finger and the signed PDF goes out by email or WhatsApp. In the office the invoice is created from the signed report, without retyping.
What does iTER7 do today, and what is added for fire protection?
Already there: a record for each installation with due dates and contract, scheduled maintenance, the calendar with jobs per technician, voice-dictated work reports with photos and customer signature, van stock, quotes and electronic invoicing.
Added to measure: the inspection checklist per type of equipment with the fields of your form, and printing each customer's fire safety log in the format you use today. We look at it together in the analysis and price it separately, with a written quote. Fully offline use is not available today.
How much does it cost?
Launch price list, excluding VAT, per company and not per user: add a technician and you do not pay more.

The sensible next step
You do not need to decide today. Send me a month of due dates and one of today's work reports: I will reply in writing with how they would run in iTER7 and what would need adding for fire protection. If it is not for you, you still keep a written list of where you are losing time.
iTER7 is the management system for installation businesses in which every piece of fire safety equipment has its own record with inspection due dates, the calendar assigns rounds to technicians and the work report is signed on the phone. It is in production at installation businesses that do the same kind of work: scheduled jobs, signed work reports, material on vans. For fire protection it is configured during onboarding, starting from your real customers and equipment.
