Does the software adapt to your business, or do you have to adapt to it?

For installation businesses with 2-10 technicians that already tried a packaged tool and left it in a drawer. What gets configured in two weeks, what gets built to order, and how to tell before you pay.

Do you recognise at least two of these?

  • You tried software "for installers" and a month later the technicians were back to paper and WhatsApp.
  • Your visits do not fit its boxes: boiler maintenance needs fields a construction site does not, and the other way round.
  • The work report PDF has the right logo and the wrong lines, and you fix it by hand.
  • Everything missing is "in the next release", and the next release never comes.
  • The salesperson said "anything is possible", and it turned out anything meant what everyone else already did.

If you said yes at least twice, the problem is not that your technicians refuse software: the software asked them to work the way it wanted.

What software that does not fit you costs

Do the sums on your own business:

  • Technicians' time: a work report typed into boxes that do not match the job takes 12-15 minutes in the evening, against about 3 minutes dictated at the end of the visit (estimate). With 4 technicians and 200 working days that is over 600 hours a year.
  • Double work in the office: whatever the software does not cover ends up in a spreadsheet next to it, filled in twice.
  • Abandonment: software the technicians do not use is worth nothing, but you paid the onboarding and the subscription anyway. With €1,000 of onboarding and twelve months of fees, that is a four-figure sum left in a drawer.
  • Lock-in: if your data only leaves in a format you pay for, the next switch costs more than the first.

None of these lines appear on a quote, which is why only the monthly fees get compared.

What if the software were configured around the way you work, not the other way round?

That is what onboarding is for in iTER7. In about two weeks we set up the things that make software yours rather than everyone's:

  • Visit types with their own fields: boiler maintenance, installation, survey, emergency call-out, each with the lines that job needs and none it does not.
  • Price lists: your prices, your suppliers, your labour lines.
  • PDF templates: work report, quote and invoice with your logo and your wording.
  • One stock per van, with what each technician actually carries.
  • The language of the trade: there are configurations for plumbers, electricians, HVAC and boiler maintenance and solar installers.

And the sentence packaged tools cannot say: if something is missing, we assess it in the demo and quote it in writing. Not "in the next release": a quote with a figure and a date, because behind iTER7 there is the developer, not a reseller.

How to tell before you pay

The simplest way is to bring a real visit to the demo, one of the awkward ones: odd fields, a maintenance contract, a job with extras. In 30 minutes we rebuild it together in iTER7 and you see three things:

  • what the ready-made modules already cover;
  • what gets configured during onboarding, at no extra cost;
  • what has to be built, with a written figure before you sign.

If in the end iTER7 is not for you, you still leave with a clear list of what to ask anyone else.

Why you can trust it

The visits, jobs and stock modules run in production in installation businesses in North-East Italy that close work reports and invoices every day, built over fourteen years of custom management software. Three guarantees you rarely find:

  • Price per company, not per user: add a technician and pay nothing more.
  • Exportable data at any time, and software you can install on your own hosting.
  • No multi-year lock-in: if it does not fit you, you leave.

What it costs

Launch price list, VAT excluded, per company:

  • Basic, €99 per month: calendar, work reports from the phone with photos and signature, customers and installed systems, branded PDF.
  • Pro, €199 per month: everything in Basic plus jobs with planned versus actual, voice-dictated reports, van stock with QR codes, quotes and electronic invoicing.
  • Onboarding, €500 to €1,500 one-off: this is where everything is configured around the way you work, with import from spreadsheets or your old system and training for the technicians.

Anything that has to be built to order is quoted separately, in writing, after the demo.

The sensible next step

Pick the most awkward visit you do and bring it to a 30-minute demo with whoever coordinates the technicians. We rebuild it together and you see straight away what fits and what does not.

Questions: does it fit my business?

Does it adapt to my organisation, or do I have to adapt to it?

iTER7 is configured around the way you work during onboarding, in about two weeks: visit types, price lists, PDF templates, one stock per van. Whatever is missing is assessed in the demo and quoted in writing.

Is it designed for my trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, solar)?

Yes: there are pages and configurations for plumbers, electricians, HVAC and boiler maintenance, and solar installers. The language and the modules change with the trade.

Is it suitable for a small business with two or three technicians?

Yes: the price is per company, so it pays off even with two technicians, and the modules are adapted in about two weeks.

Is it only for jobs, or also for scheduled maintenance?

Both: jobs with milestones and margin, and scheduled maintenance driven by due dates and contracts, with reminders to the customer.

What happens if I need a feature that is not there?

We check in the demo whether it is covered by the ready-made modules or by configuration; if it has to be built, you get a written quote with figure and timing before deciding, not a promise about the next release.

Does configuration during onboarding cost extra?

No: it is part of the €500 to €1,500 onboarding, which covers configuration, data import and training for the technicians. Only custom development is quoted separately.

Can I bring my data in and take it out again?

Yes: onboarding imports customers, installed systems and price lists from spreadsheets or your old system, and the data stays exportable at any time. The software can also be installed on your own hosting.
