Can technicians fill in the work report from a smartphone or tablet?
Yes: iTER7 runs in the phone browser, Android or iPhone, with nothing to install. The technician opens the link, fills in or dictates the report, attaches photos and has the customer sign on the screen.
Does it work without an internet connection?
A connection is needed, even a weak one: the pages are light. Fully offline use is not there today and is among the possible customisations, if there is never signal on site.
Do I need to install an app?
No. You open a link from the phone browser and add it to the home screen. Photos, finger signature and voice notes work from there.
Can the customer sign the work report on the phone?
Yes. At the end of the job the technician hands the phone to the customer, who signs with a finger. The signed PDF goes out by email or WhatsApp with a public link the customer can reopen any time.
Do photos stay linked to the report?
Yes: photos taken during the job stay attached to the report and to the installation record, with date and technician. Three months later they are found in one click.
Can I generate the report PDF with my logo?
Yes: the PDF template is configured at setup with your logo, your details and the fields you want. Every report comes out with that template.
How long does a technician take to write a report?
Estimated from demos: a properly written report costs 12-15 minutes; dictated by voice about three. With four jobs a day that is about four hours a week per technician recovered.

Can I manage jobs and sites, not only call-outs?
Yes. Every site has its own job with hours, material, documents and stages; call-outs stay in the same calendar. At the end you see the margin of that job.
Does the software handle several stock locations and inventory?
Yes: the central warehouse and one location per van, with separate quantities and inventory per location.
How is material loaded into stock and unloaded from the van?
Material enters stock from the supplier delivery note, goes on the van with a QR code and is unloaded by ticking it from the report. The gap between loaded and used becomes a number.
Do orders take stock levels into account?
Yes: when an item drops below the minimum per location, iTER7 flags it and prepares the purchase proposal to the supplier.
Can I import supplier price lists and electronic delivery notes?
Price lists are imported from files (spreadsheet or CSV); supplier delivery notes and invoices are loaded into stock from the document, line by line. Automatic reading with AI is a module of the Industry and AI branch, not of iTER7.
Can I compare the quote with the real costs of the job?
Yes: the job keeps quote, loaded material, technicians' hours and real costs. The margin shows during the work, not at year end.
Can I manage vehicles, equipment and PPE with deadlines?
Yes: vehicles and equipment have their record with deadlines (inspections, periodic checks, PPE) that generate reminders and jobs in the calendar.
How do I know how much material disappears from the vans?
With the van as a stock location: what goes on is loaded, what is used is ticked from the report. The check takes ten minutes on Friday, van by van.

How much does iTER7 cost and can I try it for free?
99 euros a month (Basic) or 199 (Pro) per company, users included, plus a setup from 500 to 1,500 euros. The 30-minute demo on your case is free and without obligation.
Is there a limit on the number of users?
No: the price is per company. With three technicians or ten the fee does not change.
How long does setup take and who imports data from the old system or spreadsheets?
About two weeks. Importing customers, installations and materials from spreadsheets or the old system is included in the setup, together with on-site training of technicians.
Can I import existing customers, suppliers and stock?
Yes, from spreadsheets, CSV or an export of the old system, before training the technicians.
How does the trial work: does it include all modules?
The guided demo shows the modules of the plan you are interested in, on your real jobs. The public demo to use on your own is in preparation.
Can you help me during the trial and afterwards?
Yes: setup includes one month of close support, and afterwards ordinary support is in the fee, with no per-ticket cost.

Does the software handle electronic invoicing (Italian SDI)?
Yes, in the Pro plan: the invoice is born from the signed report and goes to SDI without retyping. XML files stay downloadable.
Does it generate the installation conformity declaration?
Today the report collects the data and attaches the declaration filled in with your template. A module that generates it automatically is among the customisations.
Does it integrate with the system I already use?
Price lists are imported from files; integration with the accounting system you already use is built to measure, after the mockup.
Can I download the invoice XML files?
Yes, at any time: data and documents are yours and exportable.
Does it handle F-Gas, the installation logbook and boiler maintenance?
Yes: F-Gas register per unit, installation record with deadlines and contract, scheduled maintenance with customer reminders. Automatic submission to regional registers depends on the region.

Is it designed for my trade (plumbing, electrical, heating, solar)?

Does it adapt to my organisation or do I have to adapt?
iTER7 is configured to how you work during setup, in about two weeks: job types, price lists, PDF templates, per-van stock. What is missing is assessed in the demo and quoted in writing.
MES and production

What is a MES and why does an SME need one?
A MES (Manufacturing Execution System) follows production on the shop floor: batches, phases, workstations, tests, scrap. You need it when the management system knows what to produce but not what really happened to each part.
Do I need to change my management system to have a MES?
No: the MES is born next to the existing system, which stays in charge of the flow (orders, master data, invoices). That is how it works in six sectors in production.
Is your software eligible for Industry 4.0 incentives?
A custom MES has the technical requirements (machine interconnection, traceability, integration with the management system). The certification is done by a qualified expert; grants are matched to the company profile.
How long does implementing a MES take?
The first module in production (usually batch traceability) within a few weeks after the mockup, then one module every two weeks with a working demo.
How much does your production software cost?
It depends on modules and customisations: it starts from a clickable mockup from 1,500 to 3,000 euros deducted from the total, then a written quote paid in stages. By the day, from 850 to 1,100 euros.
How do I help operators collect production data without slowing them down?
With labels and QR codes on batches, tablets at the workstation with work instructions and acknowledgement, integration with scales and test benches: data is born from the work, not from an extra form to fill in.
Traceability and quality control

How do I trace batches, serial numbers and labels with QR codes?
Every batch or serial number is born with its label (own ZPL designer, printing from the cloud to the shop-floor printer) and carries phases, tests, materials and delivery document with it.
Does the system flag defects in real time?
Yes: an alarm engine on metrics (scrap per workstation, drift of a measurement) alerts the manager; non-conformities open corrective actions with owner and deadline.
How do I do visual quality control with artificial intelligence?
With the photos the workstations already take: models trained on good parts give every photo a score and the manager receives only the ones to look at. Study on 23,194 real weld photos.
Do I need labelled photos to train the model?
No: anomaly models learn from good parts. The few defect photos are used to measure, not to train.
Does the system stop production if it finds an anomaly?
No, never on its own: it flags and queues the check. The decision to stop stays with a person, and it stays on record who.
What do I need in the company: server, cameras, GPU?
Photos already exist on most lines; a server (even in-house) is needed to run the models, a GPU only with high volumes. Photos do not leave the company.
Regulation on the shop floor

What changes with the digital battery passport from 2027?
From 18 February 2027 Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 requires a digital passport for every battery with origin, composition and performance. Collecting them while producing, per serial number, costs less than reconstructing them.
Are cameras on the shop floor compatible with workers' rights law?
Yes if they frame the part and not the person, with the union agreement or authorisation required by Italian law. The systems described here use photos of the part and do not evaluate people.
What does the AI Act require from those using AI for quality control?
Training of those who use it (art. 4) and a ban on using it to evaluate workers. Quality control on the part with human confirmation is among low-risk uses; it stays on record who decides.
How long must quality data be kept (IATF 16949)?
For automotive, IATF 16949 requires keeping quality records for the product's life plus the period defined by the customer: serial traceability keeps them linked to the part.
AI on documents

What is IDP software and how does it differ from OCR?
OCR turns an image into text; IDP also understands the layout and returns structured fields (supplier, lines, quantities, batch, price). Here it lives inside the system, on your server.
How accurate is data extraction from delivery notes and invoices?
It is measured on your documents in the initial trial, supplier by supplier, and improves with corrections. A person always confirms before anything is recorded.
Which documents can it read?
Delivery notes, invoices in PDF or XML, orders, price lists, order confirmations. Drawings and technical documents are assessed case by case.
Does it integrate with my management system?
It sits next to the system you have, whatever it is, through database, APIs or exchange files. The management system stays in charge of the flow.
Is it GDPR compliant? Do documents leave the company?
Documents do not leave: the model runs on your server or hosting, with no third parties seeing prices and suppliers.
How long to start and how much does it cost?

How much time does it free up each month?

AI on data and voice

Can I ask questions in plain language about my company data?
Yes, from the chat in the system, from WhatsApp or by voice. The assistant queries real data with tools connected to the system and cites where the answer comes from.
Can the assistant act on its own or does it ask for confirmation?
It always asks: actions are proposals that a person confirms, corrects or discards. It stays on record who. AI does not sign. You do.
Is the voice-dictated work report transcribed and understood?
Yes: the technician dictates, the text is transcribed and materials recognised from the van list; the technician rereads and confirms before the customer signs.
How are invented answers (hallucinations) avoided?
The assistant answers only with data read through the connected tools, and says when it cannot find them. Answers carry references; actions go through human confirmation.
What is a Forward Deployed AI Engineer and when is one needed?
Someone who brings AI into a company's processes by working on site, on real data, instead of selling a product to adapt. Needed when the value lies in integrating with the system that is already there.

Legacy, security and NIS2

My Laravel system is slow: where do we start?
With measurement: queries per screen, slow requests in production, indexes, work to move to a queue. Within a week a report with causes ranked by cost and the first fix in production.
How do you reduce technical debt without stopping the team?
PHPStan with a baseline that can only shrink, characterisation tests before touching legacy, one more level a month, perimeters at max on delicate modules.
Is my SME subject to NIS2 and when does the obligation start?
It depends on sector and size: medium and large companies in the listed sectors, plus critical suppliers. In Italy security measures must be in place by 31 October 2026.
How long does an application penetration test take?
From three to ten days depending on the application surface, with a written report and retesting after fixes.
My company is small: do I really need application security?
If the system is exposed on the internet or handles customer data, yes: automated attacks do not look at size. A few days are enough to close the most common holes.
We are under attack: what do I do right now?
Isolate the system, keep the logs, change exposed credentials and notify whoever is required (for NIS2 the CSIRT within 24 hours). Then analyse and fix, with a report.
Does the Cyber Resilience Act apply to my system or SaaS?
The CRA (Regulation EU 2024/2847) covers products with digital elements placed on the market, SaaS excluded except specific cases; software houses selling a product must be ready by 2027.
